Is your Inflatable or RIB looking a bit sorry for itself? We can put your boat through our workshops and have it looking spic & span and back in top condition.
This Avon RIB was brought in to us looking very sorry for itself, lots of old glue & Velcro fastening on the tubes which is notoriously difficult to remove, and very grubby inside and out.
Our engineer John gave it a thorough wash and then used a special chemical clean on the tubes to remove the grime. The inside of the boat was steam cleaned and hand polished, and the outer tubes of the boat had two coats of UV protector applied to bring back the ‘like new’ shine.
John then applied new ‘Hypalon’ strips with stitched in Velcro to allow the protective ‘Sponsons’** to be put back in place.
Finally, to finish off, the old outboard transom pad on the interior was replaced and the exterior one removed, refurbished and replaced.
The results speak for themselves!
** Sponsons (or Chaps) are a protective covering that fit very snugly over the inflatable tubes to protect them from UV rays and help to keep the boat clean.
We recommend Dophin Sails for Sponsons Covers, they can also provide ‘over davit’ covers and ‘over all’ covers too.
